A New cruise tour combines India’s most popular attraction, the Taj Mahal, with one of the country’s most beautiful but least visited destinations-the remote state of Assam.
Cruise Traveller, in partnership with Indian river cruise company Adventure Resorts and Cruises, has a 12-night package departing December 3 kinking a five-night tour of Rajasthan and Agra with a seven-night cruise on the sacred Brahmaputra River in Assam in far north-east India.
The region sees few tourists but boasts so much wildlife it is known as the Serengeti of India.
The overland itinerary takes travellers on daily excursions that include the Taj Mahal at sunset, the grand places and forts of Rajasthan and dinner with a local family. Travellers then board the 46-guest MV Mahabaahu to cruise from Guwahati to Neamati Ghat in the state of Assam.
