I had a wonderful trip, the service and food was amazing. The cruise was very special also as it was evident that the boat was in a “less travelled” part of India for tourists.

We really have had a ball! We loved the boat and the boys and the way they looked after us. It was an unusual route through Assam and gave us an opportunity to see and feel the Indian culture. We have so many memories which are imprinted. I did a travelogue on Facebook so I can remember which where and how. I felt very emotional when I saw the Taj Mahal it just bowled me over that a man would go to so much trouble to carry out the wishes of his wife. I think we expected we would be on the SAGA coach tour for the golden triangle and when we found out we had a personal driver and tour guides well what can I say….. Thank you for making our time on the boat so special. I will never drink orange juice the same again.

I took this cruise in February of this year, it was a fantastic experience and I can’t recommend it too highly. The Mahabaahu was just perfect and the crew extremely professional but also quite delightful people. As to the wildlife we saw it was like being inside a David Attenborough documentary!

Thank you to all the wonderful people, seen and unseen, who have contributed to this unique experience. We will never forget this week.

This was a wonderful experience: to sail on the Brahamputra river and manage the sand box all along, to have all the attention of the crew where ever we were and yet it was discrete so that we could fully appreciate the Indian experience – MANY THANKS to all. We’ll certainly come back.

Everything about the Brahmaputra cruise on the MV Mahabaahu was so exciting. We visited Hindu temples, remote villages, and ancient monuments, went on a dawn safari on elephant back in search of rhino and even saw a Bengal tiger. And then there is the river itself – blazing such a trail through Assam that the scenery changes by the hour. What an amazing week.

The entire staff was warm, helpful and hospitable. The boat is elegant, yet comfortable and homey. I loved the cruise and all of our adventures. Best.

During my cruise on Brahmaputra in November 2012 had the opportunity to discover a very different part of India, which is Assam and the island of Majuli. I was very impressed by it, something like another world. The discovery of the Mishings community was a strong and magic moment, as well as the dances in a field near a satra, where both the tourists and the local people had a moment of exchange (we both discovered each other despite the language barrier). Another special moment was the park of Kaziranga with the tour on elephants, which allowed us to see the rhinos very near. The five o’clock tea in a tea estate was also a great moment. I would also not fail to thank all crew members for their service dispensing and kindness. They always tried to do their best in order to satisfy us. I will remember that cruise as an exciting moment far away from the stressing European life.

The People are beautiful, honest, Caring, efficient and wonderful and they make you feel welcome in there century and it’s very important when you are travelling.

The festival, Monuments and activates are very intrusting. The festival would not be the festival and activates cannot be the activity without the peoples and involvement, that’s what I love. I love the spirituality, Food and the colour of India. Absolutely everything, I have not got one complaint about this beautiful country.

It was wonderful to see the children running down the hill, the village We visited. Laughing and sharing their enjoyment. it was wonderful, it was heartwarming and Beautiful.

To all the crew. This is the 4th river boat trip we have taken, and it is the best by far. The people and places along the river, plus all the birds and animals we saw made it outstanding. Also, all the people on-board the boat made it very special as well. This boat is very modern with up-to-date features to make life easy for people like us who love to travel. We will always have fond memories of this trip.

We have had a wonderful trip and seen so many interesting places, and the dancing of the various different cultures has taught us so much about the way of life in this beautiful area. The jewel in the crown was Kaziranga which we would have liked to see more of. All the staff has been wonderful, so caring and friendly. Thank you so much.

Our journey on the M.V.Mahabaahu was one of pure delight. Visiting unspoiled places, not being dragged into shops – cabins always clean, neat & tidy, done by almost invisible efficient staff. All staff on board were efficiently professional without being annoying – tours daily were always of interest & took us to wonderful unspoiled villages & places. Congratulations to chef & his staff for the wonderful variety of food we were presented with at every meal. This trip was a magical introduction to India for us & we hope to come back – We will have fond memories.
